実用英語技能検定試験（二次試験）が行われました。例年通り宇部地区では常盤中学校が受験会場となっています。３級を受験したある塾生に聞いてみたところ、今回は次のような出題となりました。あくまでも参考程度の内容となりますが、記載しておきます。
●試験官：男性日本人１名
●会話はすべて英語
●あいさつ
Please put your bag on the chair.
How have you been? – I’m fine, thank you.
My name is ****. What’s yours? – I am ***.
●面接カード
Please turn the card over.
Read the sentences silently.（ストップウォッチで正確に20秒を測定）
Then read the sentences aloud.
Question 1: What do some people buy at the post office? – They buy the stamps.
Question 2: What is the woman going to do? – She is going to close the door.
Question 3: Where is the calendar? – It is on the wall.
Please turn the card over again.
Question 4: What time do you get up every morning? – I get up around seven.
Question 5: Have you ever gone hiking on the mountain? – No, I haven’t.
●自由質問
Where did you study English, at home or at school? – I studied it at home.
How? – My father taught it to me.
Is he an English teacher? – Yes, he is.
Are you a junior high school student? – Yes, I am.
面接官のしゃべり方は、出だしの疑問詞でしっかり区切ってくれたり、前置詞句前で区切ったりして丁寧に言ってくれたことが印象に残っていたとのことでした。
本人なりにとてもいい英会話の時間になったようで、次の級に向けて新たな意欲を見せていました。
